This live online Designated Safeguarding Lead Training course gives you the skills required to carry out the DSL role effectively. The training explores essential safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, along with effective approaches to recording and reporting concerns. It also covers referral pathways, working with external agencies and best practice for supporting staff and maintaining strong safeguarding procedures.

As well as a 3-hour live trainer-led session, you will also have access to our online Safeguarding Children course and our online DSL course in advance, allowing you to build your knowledge before attending the live training.

The course is aligned with the latest safeguarding frameworks and guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children, Keeping Children Safe in Education and Prevent duty guidancesupporting organisations to meet their safeguarding responsibilities and maintain effective safeguarding leadership.
