3. Fire Risk Assessments

This module provides an overview of fire risk assessments and the five essential stages and their contribution to fire protection. As a Fire Marshal, you may need to assist the Responsible Person in reviewing or creating fire risk assessments and you also should understand the role of the fire safety emergency plans. This module also clarifies the concepts of risk and hazard and their relevance to workplace fire risk assessments.
4. Practical Fire Safety in the Workplace
This module explores the practical aspects of fire safety in the workplace, including the identification of potential fire hazards and the fire safety procedures that may be implemented in your workplace. Also in the module it highlights the various types of fire safety signs you may encounter, the different fire detection and warning systems that might be present and essential information about fire escape methods. Additionally, it emphasises the pivotal role of the Fire Marshal or Warden in the workplace fire safety process.
5. Fire Extinguishers
While you may not encounter a fire emergency often, knowing the correct fire extinguisher type and usage procedure is crucial. Fire Wardens must understand fire extinguisher operation and their role in equipment placement and maintenance. Fire blankets and their role are also outlined in this module.
6. Being a Fire Warden
